How Does CBD Work?

All of the cannabinoids in the hemp plant have different effects on the brain and body. The human body produces certain cannabinoids on its own called endocannabinoids. These natural compounds interact and bind with two types of receptors. These are the CB1 and CB2 receptors and they practically run your entire body. The CB1 receptors impact your brain and central nervous system, such as; stress, anxiety, pain, inflammation, and insomnia. The CB2 receptor impacts your immune system, gastrointestinal tract, and your peripheral nervous system. This usually involves more chronic conditions like crohn’s, IBS, and IGA deficiency are a few examples. The ECS is in charge of your body’s balance (Homeostasis).

Homeostasis is a self regulating process by which an organism tends to maintain stability while adjusting to conditions that are best for its survival. This is a key element in the biology of all living things. This is the ability to maintain stable internal conditions that are necessary for survival. CBD directs the body to utilize and produce more endocannabinoids. This effect makes high-quality CBD an effective form of nourishment to the Endocannabinoid system.
